Den USA-baserade svenske producenten och låtskrivaren RedOne – som bl.a har producerat Lady Gagas Bad Romance och även arbetat med artister som Michael Jackson och Akon m.fl – har tecknat avtal med Universal Music om att i bolagets regi få driva en egen label. Först ut på den nya etiketten 2101 är singer-songwritern Mohombi, som den här veckan gör entré på SverigeTopplistans plats 54 med Bumpy Ride [2101 / Island / Universal Music].
I brittiska CMJ kommenterar RedOne sitt nya label-avtal med Universal Music så här:
