Yasin har som första skandinaviska rappare gjort ett avtal med Atlantic Records och återvänder i samband med detta med singeln Matadoren.
På Atlantic Records sociala medier välkomnades Yasin med rubriken: ”Välkommen to the Atlantic family, Yasin”.
I ett pressmeddelande skriver Atlantic:
”Atlantic has signed Swedish artist Yasin, one of the most successful and culturally influential voices to emerge from the Nordic music scene. Regarded as the defining artist of modern Swedish rap, Yasin has amassed more than 2 billion streams independently equating to 55 Platinum and Gold certifications throughout his career.”
Om Yasins bakgrund sägs:
”More than an artist, Yasin has become a cultural voice – documenting life, ambition and challenges from communities shaped by immigration and the realities of social segregation, while giving visibility to stories that have rarely been represented on such a large scale.”
Matadoren släpptes 31 juli. Låten är producerad av Amr Badr. Videon till låten är regisserad av Joakim Bernardo.
